Our client is a company in the Milwaukee area looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 7+ years of accounting experience, strong technical accounting experience, and who is flexible! This role offers the chance to be part of a growing company that is team oriented. This role is hybrid.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements and supporting schedules
- Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, accuracy, and reporting processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls
- Partner closely with production and operational leadership to support business performance
- Assist with cost accounting activities, inventory analysis, and manufacturing-related financial reporting
- Analyze operational results and provide insights to support decision-making
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and operations
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and coordinate annual audit activities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain accounting processes, policies, and internal controls
- Support compliance initiatives and ensure strong financial governance practices
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation as needed
- Support acquisition accounting activities and post-acquisition integration efforts
- Help build scalable accounting infrastructure to support continued company growth
- Participate in system and process enhancement projects
- Contribute to the development and future growth of the accounting team
The Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 7+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong technical accounting background preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CPA certification preferred
