Accounting Analyst
Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area that’s looking for an Accounting Analyst. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, analytical, and who has strong interpersonal skills. The salary for this position is $75K – $95K
The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare consolidated internal financial statements by gathering, analyzing, and validating data from consolidation systems.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including related footnote disclosures.
- Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses, providing clear explanations of reconciling items.
- Prepare equity and stock-based compensation reporting, including detailed rollforward schedules.
- Analyze financial results and deliver insights and reporting to senior leadership through well-developed, data-driven analyses.
- Support SOX compliance, audit processes, and FP&A forecasting by preparing financial schedules, variance analyses, and contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives.
The Accounting Analyst will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 2+ years of related work experience (public accounting experience preferred)
- Familiarity with GAAP and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret documents and data.
- SAP experience preferred
- Strong communication skills both orally and written Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of non-public information and documents
