Our client is an organization in the Rock County area that’s looking for a Senior Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, organized, and has high attention to detail. The salary for this position is 68K.

 

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial documents to support accurate financial reporting and month-end close processes.
  • Analyze and reconcile assigned accounts, intercompany transfers, inventory activity, AR balances, notes, and transactions across multiple systems to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support the preparation and review of P&L statements, preliminary reports, periodic financial reporting, and financial statement distribution.
  • Assist with audits, information requests, record retention, and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely responses.
  • Review current accounting processes, reports, and workflows to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, accuracy, and process improvement.
  • Support special projects, system reporting enhancements, and cross-functional accounting initiatives as needed.

 

The Senior Staff Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proficient in Excel, including the ability to work with spreadsheets, formulas, and financial data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter who can manage tasks independently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize deadlines and resolve issues efficiently.
