VP of Finance
Our client is an organization in the Hartford, WI area looking for a Vice President of Finance. Our client is looking for an experienced finance leader with a strong manufacturing background, deep FP&A expertise, and a track record of partnering with business leaders to drive performance and value creation. This individual will serve as the senior finance leader and financial steward of the business, establishing a disciplined finance operating model that connects forecasting, controls, capital allocation, and strategic decision-making.
The salary range for this position is $180k–210k + bonus.
The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the senior finance leader and strategic partner to executive leadership, providing financial insight and guidance to drive business performance and long-term value creation.
- Establish and lead the Finance operating system, creating clear ownership, decision rights, reporting cadences, and cross-functional accountability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial analysis activities across the organization.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Partner closely with manufacturing and operational leadership to evaluate performance, improve profitability, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Provide leadership around manufacturing finance, including product costs, inventory, margins, operational variances, and working capital.
- Establish meaningful KPIs and management reporting that provide leadership with clear visibility into business performance and key value drivers.
- Lead capital allocation and investment analysis, ensuring resources are deployed against the organization’s highest-value opportunities.
- Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, and accountability across the business.
- Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights and recommendations for executive leadership.
- Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, financial visibility, and overall Finance effectiveness.
- Partner cross-functionally to establish financial discipline and accountability throughout the organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, reporting, and automation to create a scalable Finance function.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team while building a high-performance, business-oriented culture.
- Support strategic initiatives, investments, and other value-creation opportunities as the organization continues to evolve.
The Vice President of Finance will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant leadership responsibilities.
- Manufacturing industry experience required, with a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, margins, and manufacturing operations.
- Strong FP&A experience required, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance analysis.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a strategic finance partner to executive and operational leadership.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, capital allocation, working capital, and value-creation principles.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
- Experience establishing financial processes, reporting cadences, KPIs, and accountability across an organization.
- Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to build and elevate a high-performing Finance function.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong commercial and operational mindset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decisions and effectively partner across all levels of an organization.
- Hands-on, results-oriented leadership style with the ability to balance strategic priorities with the operational needs of the business.
