Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area that’s looking for a Cost Analyst. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, detail-oriented, and an inquisitive mindset. The salary for this position is $60K – $90K.

 

The Cost Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update job costing records, standard costs, BOMs, routings, and overhead rates.
  • Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and support accurate inventory and cost-of-goods-sold reporting.
  • Analyze job-level cost variances, including material, labor, and overhead, and document root causes.
  • Partner with estimating, engineering, and operations to refine costing assumptions based on actual job performance.
  • Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and audit requests.
  • Provide cost analysis and process improvement support for quoting, margin reviews, ERP upgrades, and special projects.
  • Additional ad hoc projects as needed.

 

The Cost Analyst will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CMA or CPA a plus.
  • 3+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Results-driven mindset, focused on delivering accurate, timely cost data to support quoting and margin decisions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems; categorize & simplify complex issues to deliver incremental improvement.
  • Competent computer skills with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and other technical resources as required.
