Accounting Analyst II
Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for an Accounting Analyst. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, detail-oriented, and analytical. This company offers a collaborative team, flexibility, and opportunities for professional growth. This position is hybrid.
The salary for this position is $80k – $95k.
The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform complex account reconciliations, investigate outstanding items, and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Analyze financial data and account activity to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate, research, and correct accounting errors, inconsistencies, and process-related issues to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial analyses, including variance explanations and management reporting support.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and operational teams to resolve issues, improve reporting accuracy, and support business initiatives.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and optimize end-to-end accounting workflows.
The Accounting Analyst will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of related accounting or auditing experience.
- Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
