The Opportunity

Our financial services client is seeking a high-impact accounting executive to join their leadership team as Vice President of Accounting & Administration, with a clear and intentional path to the Chief Financial Officer role.

 

This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished accounting leader who wants to move beyond traditional financial reporting and play a meaningful role in enterprise strategy, operational transformation, and executive leadership.

 

The successful candidate will represent the firm in board-level settings, and help modernize financial operations. If you are energized by improving processes, developing people, implementing technology, and contributing to strategic business decisions, this role is for you!

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing accounting processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
  • Oversee complex commission calculations tied to sales and revenue performance
  • Manage banking relationships, cash management activities, and financial controls
  • Prepare and present executive-level financial information to board members and senior leadership
  • Support governance, compliance, and regulatory reporting initiatives
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and organizational initiatives
  • Design KPI dashboards and management reporting tools that improve visibility and decision-making
  • Build scalable processes capable of supporting future growth

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA required
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
  • Experience within financial services, asset management, wealth management, investment management, brokerage, or related industries
  • Strong background in financial reporting, month end close, consolidations, and accounting operations
  • Demonstrated success driving process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and board members
