Our client is an organization in the Greater Milwaukee area looking for an Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, organized, and driven. This company offers fun office perks, flexibility, and excellent benefits. This position is hybrid.

 

The salary for this position is $60k – $75k.

 

The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process recurring payments as needed or requested. Work with Trust Cash Processing Accountant to secure cash needed to make the payments.
  • Assist with the coordination and payment of 65 day and liability distributions, including the communication and organization of information with the other Trust Accountants, Attorneys, or Tax Preparers.
  • Completing additional training on topics essential to the job.
  • Ensure trust asset entries reconcile to daily trust system entries processed.
  • Ensure accurate account data and compliance with guidelines.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

 

The Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor or Associate degree in business, accounting, or finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in trust operations.
  • Knowledge of fiduciary terms and concepts, corporate actions, securities processing, tax lot reporting and capital gain/loss tax implications.
  • Experience with trust accounting software.
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with a team as well as work independently.
