Staff Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong drive to learn. This company offers a collaborative culture, room for professional development & growth, and a close-knit team. This position is hybrid.
The salary for this position is $55k – $65k.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Post residential tenant charges. Apply residential and commercial tenant rent checks to monthly charges.
- Timely and accurately assemble monthly financial statements for internal and external users, including debt reconciliation.
- Work with corporate and local accounting teams to resolve accounting issues.
- Assemble costs to be reimbursed for construction draws. Post draw activity.
- Invoice coding and resolving escalation issues. Additional assistance for management fees, insurance billing, and real estate tax bills.
- Monthly credit card reconciliation.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
The Staff Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in property management.
- Proficient in Excel. Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar a plus.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with a team as well as work independently.
