Fund Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area that’s looking for a Fund Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 1+ years of experience, organized, and has excellent interpersonal skills. The salary for this position is $65K – $80K.
The Fund Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including preparation, review, and posting of adjusting journal entries.
- Coordinate annual audits, support external auditors, and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and US GAAP standards.
- Prepare quarterly investor reports, maintain waterfall (preferred return/promote) calculations, execute distribution calculations, and ensure timely delivery of K-1s.
- Oversee accounts payable, cash receipts, monthly cash flow analysis, bank and escrow reconciliations, and mortgage statement tracking.
- Maintain accurate accounting for funds, managed accounts, co-investments, and property-level financials.
- Prepare year-end tax packages, manage tax adjusting entries, and track state and federal investor withholding payments and compliance requirements.
The Fund Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
- 1+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
