Our client is an organization in the Dakota County area that’s looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, analytical, and who has excellent communication skills. The salary for this job is $125K – $200K.

 

The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and lead accounting, payroll, HR, contract administration, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, business planning, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, variance analysis, and auditor preparation.
  • Oversee project financial performance by monitoring estimates, budgets, work-in-progress schedules, and profitability.
  • Direct billing, revenue recognition, collections, and accounts receivable activities to ensure timely cash receipts.
  • Coordinate corporate compliance requirements, including sales tax filings, insurance administration, audits, and government reporting.
  • Develop and improve financial and operational processes while partnering with management to support organizational goals and informed decision-making.

 

The Controller will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business or an equivalent level of knowledge in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with accounting, payroll work, and managing staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a business environment.
