WHY OPEN: Worked on this search for 4-5 months. Entry level applicants, very few qualified apps. Very few they got in the door didn’t want to to this type of work. Other Accounting Clerk is great, confident, came from RH a few years ago. Addition to the team due to growth. At ground zero now. Took the posting down. Extended offer to Cassie Sajdowitz.

TEAM/CULTURE: Banking Manager (Betty) HM is retiring. Fresh set of eyes, process improvement, continuing to grow. Work with PM’s & CM’s, Malayna is peer, will train, has been there for 2+ years.
GROWTH: Could be opportunity to be interim manager down the line. Malayna is getting a promotion, Clerk II.
ROLE SPECIFICS:
Wire transfers, check runs, clearing tickets. attention to detail and a lot of interaction with PMs and PCs, comfortable and confident communicating are important, will take initiative to communication, sensitive/confidential information. Clerical role. Repetitive.
Malayna – 250 cases, $2B in 4 cash accounts, all accounts of banking activity gets imported to reflect balance. If 10 cash checks, can be misreads, clean up work. Reconciling database and ensure it’s clean compared to accounts. PMs will say here’s the wrire info, send 100 wires to clamaints, routing and account numbers, do these numbers make sense, are they right, missing numbers, etc. Help process wire payments, get ready for Betty/new person to approve them. Check runs – here’s what bank rec will look liketo ensure sufficient funds. Variety of work epending on volume, check run heavy, hod oc activities.
IDEAL PROFILE:
Could be a new grad depending on their goals. Not too ambitious, need someone to be in the position for a number of years. Steady clerk is the main focus. Someone who loves transactional accounting work.
Adaptabilty is important. Know a lot of their processes work now but aren’t ideal. Not afraid to ask why things are done a certain wy, take initiative, outgoing, attention to detail, comfrotablr with change. Some nuance, tickets are different, PMs are different.
HOURS: WFH 1 day/week, any day you want. 20 floating WFH days after 90 days. Some flexibility but need to be able to commit to core hours 8-5. If need to end day at home.
INTERVIEW PROCESS: Matt will do virtual IV, onsite IV with Matt, Betty and Malayna.
