Accountant
Our client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 1+ years of experience, driven, and organized. This company offers internal growth opportunities, flexibility, and a collaborative team. This position is hybrid.
The salary for this position is $75k-95k + bonus.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings.
- Support the preparation and review of financial statement disclosures and related reporting schedules.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews.
- Assist with Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401(k) audits.
- Support insider trading compliance processes and SEC-related filings.
- Research accounting and reporting requirements and assist with implementation of new accounting standards.
- Maintain responsibility for the corporate general ledger, including monthly account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Serve as the centralized accounting resource for lease accounting activities, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reporting.
- Participate in the monthly close process and support timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
The Staff Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1+ years of accounting and/or audit experience.
- Ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret data.
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
