Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for an Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with accounting experience and bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of budget, payables and receivables, and high attention to detail. This position is hybrid.
The salary range for this position is $60k-75k.
The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist accounting team with entering and posting journal entries.
- Prepare bank account reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Accumulate vendor invoices.
- Review invoices for general ledger.
- Review all expense reports for accuracy and proper receipts.
- Prepare and file annual 1099s.
- Prepare daily deposits.
- Enter cash receipts into the system.
- Prepare monthly client invoices.
- Monitor receivables that need follow up.
- File and organize paid and unpaid invoices.
- Assist project executive with the development and monitoring of project budgets and forecast.
- Coordinate collections of invoices from vendors.
- Prepare monthly invoice package with costs recommended for payment to client.
- Provide support as needed for project audits.
- All other duties as assigned.
The Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1+ year of accounting experience.
- Bookkeeping experience with understanding of budgets, payables and receivables.
- High detail of attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
