Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for a Controller This company is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, analytical, and strong communication skills. This company offers competitive benefits, high visibility, and a strong, tenured team. This position is hybrid.

 

The salary for this job is $140K – $195K.

 

The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead monthly and annual financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting activities.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, and other core accounting operations.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate annual audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
  • Partner with executive leadership on financial planning, strategic initiatives, process improvements, and technology solutions.

 

The Controller will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, and cost accounting.
  • Proven leadership, analytical, and communication skills with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
