Our client is a growing professional services firm looking to add a Valuation Analyst to its Chicago-area team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with business valuation experience who enjoys both the technical side of the work and building relationships with clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform business valuations for closely held companies across a variety of purposes
  • Build financial models and apply income, market, and asset-based valuation methodologies
  • Prepare valuation reports, financial analyses, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with litigation support, financial discovery, and expert witness preparation
  • Work directly with attorneys, business owners, executives, and other clients
  • Manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and client deliverables
  • Participate in client development and relationship-building efforts

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 3+ years of business valuation experience
  • Experience within a valuation firm, accounting firm, litigation support practice, or similar environment
  • Strong financial modeling, Excel, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and presenting financial information
  • Interest in developing business and growing client relationships
  • CPA, ABV, ASA, CVA, or similar certification is a plus, but not required
  • Litigation, family law, estate/gift tax, or transaction valuation experience is a plus
