Controller/Accounting Manager
Our client is an organization in the Waukesha County area that’s looking for an Accounting Manager. This company is looking for someone with 8+ years of experience, who is analytical, and has strong communication skills. This company offers competitive benefits, high visibility, and a strong, tenured team. This position is onsite.
The salary for this job is $105K – $125K.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and oversee accounting operations, including financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and overall accounting process accuracy.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage, train, and develop accounting staff while establishing priorities, reviewing work, and promoting accountability across the team.
- Partner with the CFO to prepare financial reporting packages, variance analyses, audit schedules, tax filings, and other key reporting deliverables.
- Lead process improvement initiatives across the accounting function by leveraging ERP systems, finance technology, automation, and standardized procedures.
- Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, SOPs, and internal controls to support consistent practices across domestic and international entities.
- Support operational leaders and senior management by providing financial analysis, reporting, and guidance to improve decision-making and business performance.
The Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant accounting management experience required; public accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to motivate others and support achievement of corporate goals.
