Our client is seeking a Controller to join a high-growth, multi-entity organization undergoing significant expansion and transformation. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning the accounting function, partnering with executive leadership, driving process improvements, and helping scale a growing business!

 

This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented accounting team, oversee complex accounting operations across multiple business lines, play a key role in ERP modernization efforts, and serve as a strategic business partner during an exciting period of organizational growth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all accounting operations, including the month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, consolidations, account reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
  • Serve as the technical accounting expert, providing guidance on complex GAAP matters including revenue recognition, inventory, leases, and intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee accounting across multiple business units, including revenue recognition, cost accounting, inventory, reserves, accruals, and consolidations.
  • Own the external audit process while maintaining a strong internal control environment and supporting audit compliance.
  • Partner with executive leadership on cash management, banking relationships, tax compliance, and strategic financial initiatives.
  • Lead ERP implementations, systems enhancements, and process improvement initiatives to strengthen reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop the accounting team while building scalable processes to support continued organizational growth.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or other senior accounting leadership role.
  • Strong technical U.S. GAAP knowledge with experience in complex, multi-entity accounting environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing external audits and working directly with auditors.
  • Experience leading ERP implementations or major financial systems projects preferred.
  • Public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional firm) strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare, pharmacy, infusion, or other complex revenue-cycle industry experience is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience working across multiple ERP and financial reporting systems.
