Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for an Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, detail-oriented and strong analytical skills. The salary range for this position is $45k-65k.

 

The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process agent commission payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Administer bi-weekly payroll and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and post month-end and adjusting journal entries.
  • Generate and analyze monthly financial statements.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Bill advertising expenses to agents and oversee payment collection.
  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
  • Create and maintain digital files related to listings and accepted offers.
  • Perform daily bank deposits and maintain cash flow accuracy.
  • Provide necessary financial data and spreadsheets for tax return preparation and annual workers’ compensation audits.
  • Prepare 1099 forms and ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
  • Develop revenue and cash flow projections for current and future fiscal periods.
  • Analyze financial statements to identify revenue and expense trends.

 

The Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or closely related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with bookkeeping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
