Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for an Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, detail-oriented and strong analytical skills. The salary range for this position is $45k-65k.
The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process agent commission payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Administer bi-weekly payroll and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and post month-end and adjusting journal entries.
- Generate and analyze monthly financial statements.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Bill advertising expenses to agents and oversee payment collection.
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Create and maintain digital files related to listings and accepted offers.
- Perform daily bank deposits and maintain cash flow accuracy.
- Provide necessary financial data and spreadsheets for tax return preparation and annual workers’ compensation audits.
- Prepare 1099 forms and ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
- Develop revenue and cash flow projections for current and future fiscal periods.
- Analyze financial statements to identify revenue and expense trends.
The Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associate’s degree in accounting or closely related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with bookkeeping.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
