Staff Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Winnebago County area looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, organized, and is an excellent communicator. The salary for this position is $70k – $85k.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries and account analysis.
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements and report on variances.
- Prepare financial management reports and other analysis as assigned.
- Responsible for fixed assets including identification, recording, valuation and reporting.
- Monitor and maintain controls and procedures in order to comply with GAAP.
- Perform other duties as needed.
The Staff Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA/CMA or eligible preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant experience required.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive & confidential information.
