Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Trust Tax Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, driven, and detail oriented. This company offers a hard-working team, flexibility, and competitive benefits. This position can be hybrid after training is complete.

 

The salary for this position is $120k – $140k + bonus.

 

The Senior Trust Tax Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize CCH ProSystem FX and Thomson Reuters OneSource Trust Tax to prepare federal and state fiduciary income tax returns.
  • Prepare tax returns for trusts holding complex pass-through investments.
  • Review and analyze tax reporting and disclosure issues, including foreign reporting requirements.
  • Compute quarterly tax estimate payments.
  • Manage workflow to effectively comply with filing deadlines and client expectations.
  • Preparation of other tax forms for charitable trusts.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

 

The Senior Trust Tax Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or EA preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Thorough understanding of fiduciary tax law and concepts.
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work extensive hours during peak tax workload periods.
