Senior Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Janesville area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 4+ years of accounting experience, cost accounting experience, and strong attention to detail.
The salary range for this position is $93k-115k.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and execute month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and roll-forward schedules
- Conduct analytical reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results
- Assist with preparation of financial reporting packages
- Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and tax requirements
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation
- Contribute to the development and testing of internal controls
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement efficiencies
- Participate in system enhancements, automation initiatives, and user acceptance testing
- Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures
- Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, and other finance functions to ensure accurate reporting
The Senior Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, internal audit, consolidation and tax
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
