Our client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 2+ years of related experience, SOX background, and eagerness! This position offers growth opportunities, great benefits, and be part of a great team!

 

The salary range for this position is $85k-110k.

 

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and actively participate in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
  • Ensure compliance with SOX internal controls.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports
  • Support audit activities, including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting processes
  • Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, FP&A, Operations, HR) to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

 

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • SOX experience
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
