Our client is an organization in the Minneapolis area that’s looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, inquisitive, and has strong problem-solving skills. The salary for this job is $70K – $100K.

 

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains updated financial reporting for corporation.
  • Assists with recording and tracking fixed asset acquisitions.
  • Prepares month-end and year-end closing information including general accruals, revenue and expense cut-off and P&L allocations.
  • Maintains accurate journal entries in the general ledger and documentation for the entries.
  • Responsible for processing or backup of company bi-weekly payroll for all employees. Submits 401k files in a timely manner.
  • Researches variances in financial information and reports findings to management.
  • Prepares and reviews documentation for the annual audit.
  • Provides analysis support for the quarterly forecast and annual budgeting processes.

 

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial statements, payroll and taxes.
  • A commitment to ethical business standards and personal integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detailed information.
  • Ability to be flexible, adjust to change, multitask, plan, prioritize and organize work effectively
