Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a background in large, publicly traded organizations to support a temporary engagement. This role is critical for preparing and consolidating financial statements, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating with external auditors. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements in alignment with external reporting requirements.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and analytics to support financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate accruals, account reconciliations, and financial statement reviews.
• Collaborate with external auditors (e.g., Grant Thornton) by providing necessary financial data and analysis.
• Conduct research on GAAP-related topics, including accounting for revenue or leases.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, ensuring compliance with established standards.
• Work cross-functionally to pull together financial data for consolidated reporting.
• Address ad-hoc accounting projects and analyses as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a large, publicly traded organization.
• Expertise in financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and account reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and their application to revenue recognition and leases.
• Demonstrated experience with internal controls and working with auditors.
• Highly analytical with the ability to manage large datasets and extract actionable insights.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of rolling up sleeves to meet deadlines.
