Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 3+ years of accounting experience who is highly adaptable. This position is a highly visible role with internal growth opportunities.
The salary range for this position is $70k-90k
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general accounting functions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Asist the accounting manager with preparation and analysis of financial statements.
- Oversee the preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare detailed reports on financial performance for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to financial policies and controls.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned to support departmental goals.
The Senior Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
- 3+ years of related accounting experience
- Previous higher education experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
