Finance Director
Our client is an organization in the greater Madison area looking for a Finance Director. This client is looking for someone with 7+ years of experience, government experience, and someone who is a strong, dynamic leader. This position offers the opportunity to be the top finance person while working with a strong supportive team. This position is hybrid.
The salary range for this position is $130k-150k.
The Finance Director will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strong leadership to company’s finance function and oversee management of all financial programs, polices and services.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Analyze cash positions and develop investment strategies.
- Plan and develop strategies to enhance financial standing and reputation.
- Maintain accounting records, performance reports, and similar records.
- Supervise and coordinate the operation of the finance department.
- Prepare and recommend annual division budget, implement budget programs and monitor expenses.
- Oversee the tax collection process.
- Work with the financial advisors and board counsel to issue debt.
- Work with auditors and prepare annual financial reports.
- Oversee risk management functions.
- Perform related work as required and other duties assigned.
The Finance Director will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field.
- 7+ years of related finance experience.
- CPA, MBA, MPA, CPFO highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Levy Limit Laws.
- Highly analytical, organized, and detail oriented.
- Enjoys process improvement and implementation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
