Controller

Our client is a manufacturing organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 7+ years of experience, a strong corporate accounting background, and is self-motivated. The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and take ownership of all aspects of the accounting and financial activities of the organization.
• Lead all aspects of monthly and year-end financial process including general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, expenses, financial analysis, and preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Perform cash projections and manage cash balances.
• Manage cash flow by monitoring billing AR balances.
• Support CFO in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Develop accounting process and procedures.
• Analyze projects for proper costing labor, materials, and services and billings.
• Responsible for updating all inventory costs.
• Coordinate with external tax accountants on preparation of company’s tax return.
• Oversee sales and use tax preparation and filing.
• Oversee internally prepared payroll and filing.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Controller will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong demonstrated leadership skills.
• Experience in cost accounting and inventory management.
• Highly accurate, attentive and detail oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
