Our client is a company in the Madison area looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 5+ years of accounting experience, supervisory experience, and who is detail oriented. The salary range for this position is $130k-140k +bonus
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all aspects of team management, including recruitment, performance coaching, goal setting, professional development, and employee relations.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, safety, accountability, and continuous learning within the department.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, internal reports, and key financial analyses to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Lead customer rate strategies and support initiatives focused on continuous process improvement and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Ensure all accounting practices comply with generally accepted accounting principles industry regulatory standards and other applicable guidelines.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including account structure management, journal entry approvals, and reconciliation of financial accounts.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting to maintain audit readiness and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with business units to support the accurate processing and interpretation of accounting data.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop strategic financial solutions that align with broader organizational goals.
- Proactively identify and address financial risks and opportunities to support sound decision-making.
The Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detailed orientated, and a problem solver.
