Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 1+ years of experience, organized, and motivated. This company offers a collaborative culture, professional growth & development opportunities, and a strong, tenured team. This position is onsite.

 

The salary for this position is $60K – $65K.

 

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide general ledger support, including reconciling accounts, calculating accruals, reviewing accounts receivable reports, reconciling intercompany payables, preparing sales tax returns, etc.
  • Performs bank reconciliation duties, monitors and evaluates internal controls, and transfers cash for payables with the review and approval of vendor trial balances.
  • Oversee cash and supporting sales tax filings; assist in quarter-end and year-end balance sheet reconciliations and other necessary tie-outs.
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to complete the annual operational budget.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

 

The Staff Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Ability to perform and manage multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
