Director of FP&A
Our client is an organization in the Hennepin County area that’s looking for an Director of FP&A. Our client is looking for someone with 8+ years of experience, detail-oriented, and who has excellent leadership skills. This company offers flexibility, high visibility, and competitive benefits. This position is hybrid after training is completed.
The salary for this position is $180k – $190k.
The Director of FP&A will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead regional FP&A activities, ensuring compliance with company standards, financial policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, partnering with business leaders to deliver accurate financial results.
- Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and performance monitoring to support strategic decision-making and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting, dashboards, and KPI tracking tools to provide timely insights to management.
- Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to optimize profitability and resource utilization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, accounting, and operational teams to improve processes, cost controls, and business performance.
- Support strategic initiatives, organizational change, and continuous improvement efforts to drive growth and operational excellence.
The Director of FP&A will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred
- 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience in a manufacturing environment; private equity experience is highly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills: experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial data
- Up to 20% travel
