Our client is an organization in the Minneapolis area that’s looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, analytical, and who has strong interpersonal skills. This company offers a collaborative culture, competitive benefits, and a strong, tenured team. This position is hybrid.

 

The salary for this position is $90K – $120K

 

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor daily cash flows, review positive pay items, and coordinate transfers to ensure liquidity across entities.
  • Review A/P listings, manage vendor communications, process ACH payments, and initiate payments through portals or other non-ACH channels.
  • Prepare and reconcile weekly payroll, including timekeeping data, deduction verification, payroll processing submissions, and journal entries.
  • Manage new hire and termination entries in benefit systems, oversee employee benefits enrollment, and process 401(k) deposits and other related transactions.
  • Conduct month-end closings for multiple entities, including general ledger reconciliations, depreciation and amortization entries, and support for other closings as needed.
  • Compile and post journal entries for payroll, A/P, and other recurring transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in system exports, imports, and reconciliation processes (e.g., payroll and A/P files), and support transition or integration tasks for accounting platforms.

 

The Accounting Manager will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Trucking or transportation industry experience a plus.
  • Client-facing or relationship management experience a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines, as well as adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial analysis in a clear and precise manner.
