Senior Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Waukesha County area looking for a Senior Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, strong interpersonal skills, and adaptable. The salary for this position is $70k – $90k.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and execute month-end close activities for multiple sites, including journal entries, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial to support manufacturing leadership in data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with Financial Controllers and plant leadership to provide actionable insights, variance analysis, and recommendations that improve operational and financial performance.
- Perform detailed cost accounting reviews, including burden rate calculations, costing accuracy, and profitability analysis, supporting continuous improvement of cost processes.
- Partner with Shared Services to manage customer invoicing, ensuring billing accuracy and compliance with contractual and financial requirements.
- Support quarterly and annual reporting processes, including preparation of internal/external financial packages and responses to audit requests, maintaining adherence to internal controls.
- Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.
The Senior Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, CPA preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Proficient understanding of US GAAP and internal controls is preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., EPICOR, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn other software.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
