Senior Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Appleton area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, motivated, and organized. The salary for this position is $80k – $95k.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing process effectively and efficiently
- Prepare accurate financial statements, maintain/reconcile ledger accounts, update and report out on department budgets
- Inventory management including participation in cycle counting program, grading, and monitoring months on hand
- Provide timely data through ad-hoc reporting for other managers to assist with decision-making
- Demonstrates a strong ability to understand macro and micro trends to quickly discern inaccuracies
- Assists in capital expenditure requests, audits, and manage fixed assets within the division
- Identifies, communicates, and trains others on key business drivers
- Provide ad hoc reporting, special projects, and cross-functional support as needed
The Staff Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of broad accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
- Proven track record of being a natural leader and a highly motivated individual
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively with others
- ERP and Financial Reporting software experience required, Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations expertise preferred
- Advanced MS Excel skill is required
