Risk Manager
Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for a Risk Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, who has excellent interpersonal skills, and is independent. The salary for this position is $90k – $120k.
The Risk Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish, document, and communicate the organization’s risk management policies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, controls and strategy.
- Conduct annual Enterprise Risk Assessment and collaborate with senior management to identify, review, and monitor internal risk and control activities and strategies.
- Accountable for overseeing the property and casualty insurance procurement process by compiling asset and risk exposure data and evaluating adequacy of insurance policy limits.
- Provide day-to-day assistance to location/division managers relating to credit terms, customer payment information and safety/insurance claims prevention and mitigation.
- Document the effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and practices in areas such as, fraud prevention, damage to physical assets, business interruption, etc.
- Evaluate risk levels of contracts; specifically, the purchase/sale of commodities and insurance
- Manage, enforce and promote company’s credit & collection policies and practices to improve write-offs and bad debt recoveries to ensure credit exposure is within limits.
The Risk Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business or relative work experience.
- 4+ years of corporate risk and insurance management, risk control, business analysis, finance, or agri-business management or related work experience.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- High understanding of internal controls and adherence to established procedures.
- Ability to manage projects independently and within a team.
- Strong desktop skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM).
