Our client is an organization in the Winnebago County area looking for an Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, organized, and analytical. This company offers flexibility, a hard-working team, and opportunities for professional development. This position is hybrid.

 

The salary for this position is $75k – $85k.

 

The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and complete all financial transactions timely and accurately.
  • Respond to and resolve operational issues and ensure requirements are met.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy.
  • Prepare weekly and month end journal entries to ensure accurate account balances.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to comply with SOX requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

The Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent math and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Excel.
  • JDE and FAS experience a plus.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
