Our client is an organization in the Dane County area looking for an AP Specialist. Our client is looking for someone with 1+ years of experience, organized, and has excellent interpersonal skills. This company offers a close-knit team, collaborative culture, and opportunities for growth & development. This position is onsite.

 

The compensation for this position is $25 – $26/hr.

 

The AP Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verify and review invoices and company credit card statements.
  • Review terms and conditions and select appropriate invoices for payment on a weekly basis. Produce and mail payments weekly.
  • Work with teammates to ensure timely processing of invoices.
  • Set up new vendors and communicate with current vendors.
  • Complete credit applications.
  • Assist with the annual 1099 processing.
  • Review and improve internal accounts payable processes.
  • Other duties as needed.

 

The AP Specialist will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • College degree in an Accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team-based environment.
  • Naturally hospitable demeanor.
  • Technical Skills preferred – Microsoft Word/ Excel/Outlook/SharePoint/Accounting software.
