Accounting Manager
Our client is an organization in the Winnebago County area looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, organized, and detail oriented. This company offers a great culture, a tenured team, and flexibility. This position is onsite.
The salary for this position is $75k – $85k.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead in closing monthly accounting cycles, including accruals, journal entries, and variance reporting.
- Provide training on the accounting processes with new and existing employees.
- Ensure monthly bank activities and deposits are performed in a timely manner.
- Oversee all operations under account payables, receivables, and cash functions.
- Prepare and submit sales and use tax filings as required.
- Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to watch assets, improve operations and profitability, and manage business risks.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience.
- Experience with OneSite software is a plus
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Flexibility with working hours and availability for later hours or Saturdays as needed (audit season).
