Controller
Our client is an organization in the Dane County area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 6+ years of experience, organized, and has excellent leadership skills. This company provides a close-knit culture, a collaborative team, and flexibility. This position is onsite.
The salary for this job is $100k – $120k.
The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the P&L, balance sheet, and company cash flow statement.
- Timely and accurately perform various month-end functions, including preparation/review of reconciliations and financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Drive improved operational and financial reporting, KPIs, procedures, and controls.
- Maintain responsibility over ERP/financial reporting systems and take leadership role in IT/system related projects related to accounting and finance.
- Assist with the annual audit/tax process.
- Lead and manage accounting staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA highly preferred.
- 6+ years of relevant experience as well as leadership/management experience.
- ERP/EDI systems expertise, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 familiarity preferred.
- Deep understanding of the manufacturing and/or distribution industry.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.
