Tax Manager
Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for a Tax Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 7+ years of experience, motivated, and analytical. The salary for this position is $100k – $150k.
The Tax Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform complicated tax research and data analysis to identify and implement tax planning strategies.
- Review significant tax elements of GAAP and Statutory accounting and ensure adherence to tax accounting policy.
- Manage a significant process, project, or process improvements within the Tax Department and ensure timely, accurate, and complete performance.
- Regularly participate in day-to-day interaction with IRS, external auditors, and vendors.
- Manage external resources including consulting and outsourcing engagements.
- Lead tax integration efforts for specific subject process or matter.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
The Tax Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree in Taxation, JD in Taxation or designation as CPA or CFA.
- 7+ years of experience in a corporate tax department or national public accounting firm.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant tax preparation and research software.
- Exceptional communication skills.
