Tax Manager
Our client in the greater Milwaukee area is looking for a Tax Manager. This client is looking for someone with 5+ years of tax and accounting experience and strong attention to detail.
The salary for this position is $100k-140k.
The Tax Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex federal and multi-state tax filings, primarily for real estate entities such as partnerships and flow-through structures.
- Research and resolve intricate tax matters to ensure full compliance with current federal and state tax laws.
- Manage tax engagements throughout the full lifecycle—from initial planning through final review—while effectively allocating tasks across the team.
- Deliver tailored tax planning strategies and consultative insights based on client goals and industry-specific nuances.
- Act as a primary liaison for clients, cultivating strong relationships and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service.
- Lead, coach, and support junior team members, contributing to their technical development and performance growth.
- Assist with practice development by identifying new client needs, supporting cross-selling opportunities, and contributing to proposal preparation.
- Leverage tax software and research tools to drive efficiency and maintain high levels of technical accuracy in all deliverables.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.
The Tax Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
- 5+ years of tax and/or accounting experience.
- CPA licensure.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
