Our client in the Milwaukee area is looking for a Tax Director. This client is looking for someone with 15+ years of related experience, CPA, and management experience. This is a top role within a company that has a great reputation!

 

The Tax Director will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage all corporate tax functions, including compliance, reporting, planning, and risk management.
  • Oversee preparation and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Direct international tax strategy, transfer pricing policies, and cross-border tax planning.
  • Provide technical tax expertise and guidance on business transactions, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities; serve as the main point of contact with external advisors and auditors.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while aligning with corporate goals.
  • Monitor tax law changes, assess potential impacts, and advise leadership on emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting in accordance with GAAP and applicable standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the tax team, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Operations to support overall business strategy.
  • Ad hoc projects as needed.

 

The Tax Director will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
  • 15+ years of tax and/or accounting experience.
  • Exposure to federal and state tax required.
  • CPA licensure required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
