Staff or Senior Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Janesville area that’s looking for a Staff or Senior Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, organized, and motivated. The salary for this position is $65K – $75K.
The Staff or Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and post all monthly journal entries and manage the complete month-end close process, including maintaining and executing the month-end close checklist.
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Calculate and remit monthly sales and use tax filings in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Record and reconcile payroll journal entries for each pay period within the accounting system (Sage).
- Review monthly income statements and post required reclassifications to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain organized, compliant accounting records and support cross-functional and departmental projects as needed.
The Staff or Senior Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Curious and self-starter mindset.
- Excellent Excel skills, including advanced formulas.
- Proficiency navigating Accounting Software: ability to learn/navigate/improve accounting systems.
- Strong preference for Sage Intacct Experience.
