Sr HR Generalist
Our client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist. This company Is looking for someone with 2+ years of HR experience, payroll experience and highly organized.
The pay range for this position is $60k-80k.
The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process bi-weekly payroll, including adjustments for hours worked and reconciliation of reporting data.
- Support recruitment efforts by coordinating with department leaders and executives to attract and hire top talent.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and assist in addressing workplace concerns.
- Manage new hire onboarding, ensuring accurate setup of compensation, benefits, and employment documentation.
- Maintain and update the HR information system (HRIS), including records related to compensation, benefits, tax elections, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with employment-related programs such as short- and long-term disability, COBRA, and FMLA.
- Participate in the evaluation and annual renewal of employee benefit plans, including open enrollment support and benchmarking initiatives.
- Assist with onboarding of contract workers while maintaining clear separation from W-2 employee processes.
- Plan and coordinate company events, including annual employee appreciation celebrations.
- Conduct research and propose enhancements to current HR systems, workflows, and policies.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the employee handbook, ensuring annual review and distribution.
- Support additional HR and administrative tasks as needed to meet evolving organizational needs.
The Senior Human Resources Generalist will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associates degree in HR, business administration or related field degree preferred
- 2+ years of human resources experience.
- Payroll experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
