Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing spin-off from a global manufacturing leader that is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team! This newly created role offers the opportunity to be part of a lean, high-impact corporate accounting team during a transformational period. Compensation Range: $80,000 – $105,000+ base, depending on experience + 15-20% bonus

Work Arrangements: Hybrid 4 days/week onsite in the near Northwest suburbs of Chicago

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities for the corporate ledger
  • Manage corporate expense reporting and assist with accounts payable coordination
  • Oversee global lease accounting in accordance with US GAAP
  • Assist in the preparation of SEC filings and external reporting deliverables
  • Serve as a liaison to external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Legal teams
  • Execute ad hoc financial projects and analysis for senior leadership

 

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or corporate environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
