Senior Accounting Manager
Our client is an organization in the Greater Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Accounting Supervisor. This client is looking for someone with 6+ years of accounting experience, strong leadership skills and who is driven. This role is highly visibly in a growing company with a strong brand!
The salary range for this role is $140k-170k + bonus
The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the preparation, review, and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the evaluation and approval of complex accounting transactions and key accounting estimates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of company accounting policies and procedures within assigned areas, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal standards.
- Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls, including oversight of balance sheet reconciliations, financial system integrity, and the accuracy of financial data within accounting systems.
- Collaborate with Finance leadership to develop and monitor financial forecasts, budgets, and expenditure plans, including analysis of variances.
- Analyze financial results and operational performance using trend analysis, reporting tools, and data analytics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to business leaders.
- Serve as a key liaison during the external financial statement audit, coordinating audit schedules.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function, recommending and implementing enhancements to processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.
The Accounting Supervisor will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 6+ years of accounting experience.
- CPA license and experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate team needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
