Our client is an organization in the Winnebago County area that’s looking for a Senior Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, has strong attention to detail, and organized. This company offers a hard-working team, room for professional growth & development, and high visibility. This position is hybrid.

 

The salary for this position is $100k.

 

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables in compliance with GAAP.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and record monthly depreciation.
  • Assist with treasury duties including bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.
  • Execute the implementation and management of an inventory cycle counting program.
  • Prepare analysis and explanation of monthly P&L variances.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as needed to ensure timely and accurate filing of all financial statement reporting obligations.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

 

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • Current and relevant ERP system experience required. Experience with Sage 100 is a plus.
  • Exposure to shared service model is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Travel to other business unit locations as needed for physical inventories.
