Our client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, costing experience, and collaborative. This company offers an awesome team culture and summer hours!

 

The salary range for this position is $80k-90k + bonus.

 

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee financial operations related to projects.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor and analyze project budgets, costs and profitability.
  • Conduct variance analysis.
  • Manage general ledger entries and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closings.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Participate in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks assigned to support departmental goals.

 

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
  • 2+ years of related accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
