Plant Controller
See changes below, very different profile than the HR person who I originally connected with had sold so hopefully this makes it a little easier! Please link if you can and I can call tomorrow.
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Hybrid, 3 days from home, 2 in office, (most people have been coming in on Mondays and Wednesdays and working from home Tuesday, Thursday and Friday but they are flexible.)
RELOCATION AVAILABLE? No
IDEAL:
- 4+ years. Would consider coming straight out of public accounting so long as they have similar size/shape clients. Manufacturing and public. Internal controls is crucial to this role so that’s why they are okay with someone coming from public. In fact, the first person they offered on this role was a Manager out of Big4 but there wasn’t enough travel in this for them.
- On the other side of the fence, would consider a strong steady-eddie that doesn’t have a ton of bench strength or doesn’t want to climb ladders but is just strong technically and can get the job done.
- Finance and accounting are completely separate in this $300M plant/division so this role involves no budgeting, forecasting, analysis, etc. It is straight nuts and bolts accounting and controls.
- Does not need management experience but would be a plus given they have 3 direct reports. At the very least a passion for it.
- Accounting degree is required (not finance). Needs that foundation.
POSTED COMPENSATION: $120k-$140k
SIZZLE:
- Incredibly visible among leadership.
- Great work-life-balance, Jeremy gets to watch all of his kids sports, and really feels more like “life-work balance” instead of “work-life balance”.
- Growth path, lots of places to move up and over.
- Great mentor in Jeremy
- Chance to lead a team
- Tons of flexibility, more remote than in office but still an office luxury.
- Flexible/remote option, (3 days a week from home).
