Key Responsibilities:
- Sole payroll professional in the organization overseeing and processing bi-weekly and monthly payroll, including pre-processing review, timekeeping audits, tax filings, and payroll reporting.
- Maintain payroll systems and employee records, ensuring accurate deductions, benefit changes, and timely general ledger interfaces and reconciliations.
- Administer FMLA and other employee leaves, coordinating with managers and ensuring correct application of applicable benefits (PTO, disability, paid leave, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws, internal controls, external/internal audits, and accurate year-end reporting (W-2s, ACA/1095-C, etc.).
- Partner with HR to support open enrollment and HRIS data reporting; deliver regular payroll analytics and special reports/projects.
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll inquiries, resolving employee and manager issues with accuracy and customer-focused service.
- At least seven years of prior payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Prior experience with payroll and HR systems is required; preference would be prior UKGPro/Ultimate Software experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation ideal.
