Our financial services client in Brookfield is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team. This is the sole payroll professional for an organization of about 450 employees. The ideal candidate will have experience with processing higher volume payroll in a multi-state environment using UKG software. It’s 100% on-site and full-time standard business hours Monday through Friday. Please apply for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sole payroll professional in the organization overseeing and processing bi-weekly and monthly payroll, including pre-processing review, timekeeping audits, tax filings, and payroll reporting.
  • Maintain payroll systems and employee records, ensuring accurate deductions, benefit changes, and timely general ledger interfaces and reconciliations.
  • Administer FMLA and other employee leaves, coordinating with managers and ensuring correct application of applicable benefits (PTO, disability, paid leave, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws, internal controls, external/internal audits, and accurate year-end reporting (W-2s, ACA/1095-C, etc.).
  • Partner with HR to support open enrollment and HRIS data reporting; deliver regular payroll analytics and special reports/projects.
  • Serve as the primary contact for payroll inquiries, resolving employee and manager issues with accuracy and customer-focused service.
Qualifications:
  • At least seven years of prior payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Prior experience with payroll and HR systems is required; preference would be prior UKGPro/Ultimate Software experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation ideal.
